{"id":257,"date":"2020-01-20T23:59:43","date_gmt":"2020-01-20T23:59:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thebornstead.com\/home\/?p=257"},"modified":"2020-01-21T00:00:08","modified_gmt":"2020-01-21T00:00:08","slug":"homemade-chicken-stock","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thebornstead.com\/home\/2020\/01\/20\/homemade-chicken-stock\/","title":{"rendered":"Homemade Chicken Stock"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Let\u2019s just say this\u2026.I will NEVER buy chicken broth from the store again.&nbsp; It is simply a colossal waste of money.&nbsp; If you roast a chicken, you can make so many different things from it.&nbsp; Not only do you get delicious chicken for dinner, but you can save the extra chicken pieces for other meals, make gravy, and chicken stock as well.&nbsp; Here\u2019s how I use my chicken carcass to make my own FREE chicken stock (broth).&nbsp; The best part\u2026.it couldn\u2019t be easier!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Make Chicken Stock<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>1.&nbsp; Save your chicken carcass!&nbsp; If I don\u2019t have time to make stock right away or if I want to wait until I have another one to make a really big batch, I will throw the carcass in a freezer bag and freeze it to use later.&nbsp; We usually don\u2019t buy pre-cooked chickens from the store, but since we were so sick this past week, we needed something easy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.myheartisathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/Chicken-stock-carcass2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.myheartisathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/Chicken-stock-carcass2-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-80\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.myheartisathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/Chicken-stock-11.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.myheartisathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/Chicken-stock-11-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-81\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>2.
